Lobsters are sent live.
They will be within an individual plastic bag with some seawater and oxygen. These bags are within an insulated cardboard box. The box will be clearly marked Live Lobsters – Keep Cool. In hot weather we include a cool pack within the box.
All of the packaging including the plastic bags and cardboard boxes are recyclable.
The live lobsters can survive quite happily in the bags for over 24 hours.
Ideally take the lobsters out of the bags and put them in your fridge with a damp tea towel or similar to keep them cold, dark and damp. If you can’t put them in the fridge keep the lobsters within the bags and place the box somewhere cool e.g. a garage.
